I offer 3 fishing choice's to choose from

Beginners - $50 per lesson (up to 3hr session)

New to fishing?

Perfect for kids or adults. Needing help getting started or just need a refresher coarse.

I will help you find the perfect rod & reel combo if you need it or if you already have rod & Reel combo I will help you tweak it, so it can work for you. Also give you advise on all line & tackle you might want to be using.

Give you advise on proper bait choices.

Go and work with you at local lakes from shore. Will target the species you would like to try to catch.

Travel to client or lake- additional .60 per mile up to 20 miles

Fishing Consultant - Your Boat -$100 per lesson (up to 3hr session)

We meet up where you want to learn to fish. Lake or River

You are supplying Boat & Gas and launch fees if any

You Captain your own boat with me assisting you.

What Do I provide?

I bring extra equipment rods and tackle and live bait if needed. Most times the clients are using wrong gear and I want them to see and use proper gear.

I will teach you the proper ways to use your equipment in your boat to your vantage.

Show you where and why to fish certain area's

Show you what to look for on electronics

Help you understand wind and how to use it to possibly help you

Help you get knowledge of the water, electronics

Fishing techniques that could improve your chances

I stand alongside you teaching you how to use your own boat to pull fish from anybody of water Lakes or rivers.

Walleye Guided fishing trip on St. Croix or Mississippi

Half Day $325 for 1 or 2 people - 4hrs

Full day $425 for 1 or 2 people - 8hrs

You choose which works best for you

The pure satisfaction of my clients being able to go out and duplicate what I do. Watching their faces as they learn new techniques for fishing. Sometimes its watching them catch their first fish on waters they have been struggling with. The fact of knowing they may be a little more confident on waters they fish and knowing their safe and enjoying themselves. I love to teach the sport and conservation so the next generation can enjoy it as much as you do.

I got started as a consultant when I found out I have two kinds of clients. First, the client that wanted to go out on my boat that just wanted to catch fish and didn't care about how.

The second and my favorite kind of client. People who hired me because they wanted to know my secrets and spots and learn the waters and even tried to sneak a GPS on board. But unfortunately, they failed. And frankly, I got tired of watching them fail.

I witness this first hand with a client I took out on a previous guided trip. We caught LOTS of fish together. My client asked me if I had a trip planned for the next day and I had with a new client. They told me that they were taking their own boat out next day. Using the same spots and bait so he took a couple of friends out. I took my new clients out and when we got back to the dock and unloaded the fish for the day. My previous client was on the dock and they had not caught a single fish using the same spots. He was frustrated and confused.

The question is WHY did they fail. We caught lots of fish together in my boat but the very next day using their own boat using the same spots as the day before they caught nothing.

The Answer: Let's say I have an 18ft boat. You may have a 16ft or smaller or an 18ft or larger even. There is a weight difference. On my boat I understand my electronics, trolling motor and all equipment plus I have knowledge of the waters. All boats are different.

How can you expect the same results from your boat if you don't have boat control or really understand your electronics or maybe you're using the wrong fishing gear because you used my gear the day that we went out? This is why I teach you from your boat. I want you to succeed.

I have been a fishing guide for 22 years in Minnesota

I have obtained USCG Captains license

Have had many Clients over the years

I was hired to guide a PWT Angler of the year and teach him the in's and outs of the river system.

Won my share of Walleye fishing Tournaments

Have fished all my life. From saltwater and Freshwater.

Worked as the first mate in Florida on a large Drift Boat

About the lesson

First a meet and greet. To find out your needs and goals. I need to understand your objective to help you achieve those goals. This is a great opportunity for us to have a great base for learning.

I have worked with all types. Clients who knew nothing about fishing and just begging out. I have worked with Professionals who needed help getting an edge on their competition. I have worked with the average everyday fishing person. Even kids that fish from shore. Where parents didn't know how to teach their kids how to start out.

Hire someone with a real passion. Real knowledge. A person that really wants you to succeed. Do your homework to find out if they can fish themselves. They need to have lots of patients and take the time to teach.

I had a recent client who calls me up and said they have been fishing for years on the rivers and have had no luck catching fish. Tells me he just doesn't understand it.

We went out and I wanted to teach him proper techniques before we hit the fishing locations. During his training, he caught a couple of walleyes. To watch his expression on his face and how happy he was. Really made my day.
