I have a BA in Literature and am a certified English Language Arts teacher for grades K-12.

I first like to get an idea of where the scholar I am working with is at...in terms of mental ability and preparation but also their current abilities on a topic. I also make a point to find out the student's goals, so I can focus my instruction more specifically. That way, each time we meet, the session is entirely catered to the student's unique and individual needs.
