About Ashley
I have been tutoring almost as long as I've been learning! My journey as a tutor started when I was in third grade, and I started freelancing for pay in high school. Years later, I have tutored most subjects, and have realized that the reason I'm so comfortable tutoring is because I know what it means to learn, and I understand how everyone learns differently. As such, I want to teach my students how to learn in their own best way, because once they have that skill, they can take on anything.
After working for several years as a writing and reading tutor at my school's learning and resource center, and writing center, I have become CRLA certified, and I now have experience working with students between the ages of 5 and 30. I have taken multiple courses on tutoring as well as tutoring ELLs and students with disabilities, specifically. I've spent thousands of hours training to be the best tutor I can be, and my goal is to lead students to become independent, active learners.
