About Heaven
Customers should hire me as a tutor because I bring hands-on experience working with young learners, especially children ages 3–8. I hold a B.A. in Early Childhood Education along with multiple teaching certifications, allowing me to use strong, research-based strategies during one-on-one and small group instruction. I create engaging, personalized lessons that make learning fun while meeting each child’s individual needs. I have experience supporting diverse learners and adapting my approach to different learning styles. I am skilled in using structured activities, visuals, and interactive techniques to keep students focused and motivated. I build positive, trusting relationships that help children feel confident and comfortable while learning. I communicate clearly with families to provide updates and support continued growth at home. Most importantly, I am passionate about helping each child build skills, confidence, and a love for learning.
I first discovered my passion for educating children when I was a little girl, pretending to be a teacher while playing with my younger siblings. Those early moments sparked a genuine love for guiding and supporting others. After becoming a parent, I began volunteering in my children’s classrooms, which deepened my interest in education. Through those experiences, I realized I wanted to contribute in a more meaningful and impactful way, which inspired me to pursue my Bachelor’s degree. I then worked as a Pre-K3 and Pre-K4 assistant teacher for two years. While I truly enjoyed the classroom setting, I found that I am most effective in small group or one-on-one teaching environments, where I can provide more individualized support and build stronger connections with each child.

When working with new students, I will:
Begin with a friendly greeting and introductory conversation to build rapport
Assess their current skill level through diagnostic and initial questions
Identify the learning methods that work best for them, whether visual, written, or oral
This approach allows me to create a supportive and personalized learning experience from the start.
While I am not a certified special education teacher, I have experience working with students with autism and children who are developing their English language skills. These experiences have strengthened my ability to be patient, flexible, and responsive to each child’s unique needs.
Experience supporting children with autism and emerging English language learners
Babysitting experience that included educational support and structured learning activities
Two years working with Pre-K3 and Pre-K4 students in a classroom setting
Virtual tutoring experience with children ages 6–8
These experiences have helped me create a supportive, engaging, and adaptable learning environment for a variety of learners.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What are my goals?
Do you want help with reading, math, homework, confidence, or overall skill-building?
What is my current skill level?
Are you just starting, on grade level, or needing extra support in certain areas?
What challenges am I facing?
Is it focus, understanding directions, language barriers, or keeping up in class?
How do I learn best?
Do you prefer visuals, hands-on activities, talking things out, or writing?
What is my schedule and availability?
Knowing what days and times work best helps create consistency.
How often do I need support?
Do you need sessions once a week, multiple times a week, or just occasional help?
What kind of teaching style am I looking for?
Do you prefer structured lessons, play-based learning, or a mix of both?
Thinking through these questions ahead of time helps you clearly communicate your needs, so the teacher can create a learning plan that truly fits you.
