About Somer
During my junior and senior year of high school, I was an intern with my school’s Orientation to Teaching program, in which I taught lessons and tutored students in my classes. I have lead hundreds of study groups at my school over the course of my high school career and have experience with children of all ages. English is my strongest subject and I have extensive experience in tutoring my peers in Advanced English classes. I have passed the AP Exams for AP Language and Composition and AP Literature and Composition. My time In competitive debate also provided me with valuable research skills that are often useful when writing. I can also help with history assignments. I have taken AP World History, AP US History, AP Art History, and AP European History and have passed all three AP exams. Throughout my high school years, I have helped my fellow peers in each class by leading study groups and offering personal lessons.
I enjoy helping others deal with the stresses of being a student. I know what it's like to be totally lost in a class and I am more than happy to help students understand difficult concepts and deal with the work load at school.
