About Tina

My service is unique because I am a young educator who is adaptable and ready to take on a multitude of challenges. I have experience working with students who face learning difficulties and have proven successful in helping them reach their educational goals. I begin my process by getting to know the student, specifically what they like/dislike and what their strengths/defecits are. Then, I implement some baseline assessments to gather data on where the student is currently, and formulate different interventions to help them reach attainable goals that we set together.

My favorite thing about being an educator is helping bridge the gaps in student learning. I love when a student finally tackles that challenging skill and has that a-ha moment of realization or achievement.

I have a bachelors in elementary education and psychology with an endorsement in special education from Georgian Court University. I have two years of teaching experience in a low income area, providing special education to students in grades K-5.

About the lesson

First step is to consult with the parent, find out the students needs and interests. Then, gather materials and take baseline testing to see what the student is already able to do. Lastly, create some attainable goals for the student to reach and implement interventions to strengthen defecits.

I have worked with students with a wide range of abilities. This includes students with autism, ADHD, anxiety, mood or behavioral disorders, dyslexia and other learning disabilities. On the flip side, I have worked with typical learners as well.
