About Brandy
I am a certified former high-school English teacher with 8 years of classroom teaching experience in grades 8-12. In addition to teaching English-language arts, I have tutored students in a variety of other subjects, including Spanish, math, social studies, computers, and science. While I'm certified to teach in grades 6-12, I am comfortable working with students of ALL ages. I am well-versed in working with diverse learners, including students with IEPs and 504 plans, students with limited English proficiency, and gifted and talented students. I can accommodate for differing learning styles, depending on how the student learns best.
I love helping students to learn, eapecially when they realize that they can do more than they originally expected.
