Typically, I start with their homework. This tells me how well they understand it, and what needs improved on. It also tells me what attitude they have to homework. After that, I provide supplemental work to help improve the areas they lack
Mostly middle school, but some high school as well. All from a private school. I am not adept at common core math.
Are they going to care about you succeeding, or are they in it for the money? If they are only in it for the money, you won't succeed.
