About Jessica
Hello! My name is Jessica and I am a recent honors graduate of the University at Albany, SUNY.
I have experience teaching reading comprehension, math, and writing skills to grades 3-6. I also helped students prepare for NYS Math & ELA exams.
In college, I worked for two years as a student assistant in the Writing and Critical Inquiry program, where I reviewed essays and research papers and taught library skills (finding sources, reviwing formats and citations, etc).
I can prepare students for:
MATH: Geometry Regents
HISTORY: AP World I and II, AP US History
ENGLISH: AP Language and Composition, AP Literature and Composition
Other: AP Art History, AP French Language and Culture
I love being a tutor and helping students. I have the most experience tutoring students who have attended my high school, and I love connecting with them because I have been in their place before. Sometimes students need someone in whom they can see themselves, and I enjoy being a positive and helpful role model.
