About Aida
Hello! My name is Aida Ross. I'm a third-year undergraduate and Georgetown University studying International Politics and Women's and Gender Studies. In high school, I tutored elementary and middle school-aged students in reading and writing. Additionally, during my first year of college, I assisted high school students with college applications and essays.
At Georgetown, I served as a Communications and Research Assistant for a year and a half, developing my writing, analytical, and organizational skills. Earlier this year, I briefly served as a kindergarten classroom teaching aide (before the COVID-19 pandemic). For more details on my experience, check out my Linkedin profile: (concealed information)
My teaching approach is student-centered: I prioritize listening to my student and addressing their needs. I use a two-way feedback approach, where I give feedback to my students and they are encouraged to do the same for me. With this open dialogue, I incorporate my student's needs into my lessons, adjusting my learning objectives and teaching techniques as we progress. It is incredibly important that students are not only given constructive feedback on how to improve but also celebrated for their achievements and strengths. I hope to create a positive learning environment where your child can explore their interests while developing learning routines that will shape their future in academia and beyond.
I provide tutoring for K-12 students in English (reading, writing, grammar). Additionally, I offer Math tutoring for K-6 students and college application help for high school students.
Currently, I tutor remotely through video chat and phone calls. I am happy to hop on the phone for a free informational session before you commit to my tutoring.
