About Annie

Hi! My name is Miss Annie. I tutor every within Pre-K -5th grade. I take pride in tutoring and mentoring my students in any and every aspect of your education. My satisfaction comes from my students learning new things that they are excited to share!

I have always enjoyed working with children and being around them as I have 5 nephews and a niece. The opportunity came about to work at the learning center, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

I took Elementary Education courses in college. I also worked at an after school learning center for 2 years. After I resumed my banking career, I was approached by my students parents to private tutor. I continue to tutor on a one on one basis versus when I worked with 7 or 8 students at the same time.$

About the lesson

My process Is to find out how the student is doing with their grade level with an assessment test of Math and Comprehension. From there, I build a lesson plan to ensure that any issues of concern are addressed and prioritized.

I have worked with multiple students that range from needing improvement in certain subjects to being in the Gifted and Talented program.

I would look for someone that is very interested in tutoring. I would look for a tutor that has already met the student and has built a comfortable rapport with them. I would ask that they are enthusiastic and patient with their students.

2018 was the second year I taught at the learning center. I found it extremely rewarding to see the growth and development of my students from the prior year.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I would like to know what the students interests are. I would arrange my curriculum based on that as well as the essentials.
