About Kristina
I am very passionate about English language & literature. I am experienced in a wide variety of topics such as: reading, writing, creative writing, poetry, vocabulary, grammar, etc. I enjoy helping students with these topics & have my own blog dedicated to those topics as well as a poetry book. I am here to help students reach their full potential in English & literature!
I enjoy helping students reach their full potential. When a student stops needing a tutor, as sad as it is, I'm happy because I then know that I have done my job and I have been rewarded by helping a child or student succeed.
I started by teaching music at a local church camp, and that was when my passion for teaching began. Since then, I have been working with kids of all age groups, I started by tutoring children in reading, writing & English, and then began tutoring fellow classmates in university.
I have tutored many people for high school & college essays. I have also been working with kids & educating them on a variety of topics for 9 years. I am very organized with lesson planning & am very punctual. The joy of helping students reach their full potential is very rewarding.

I get to know the students interests and which type of learning works best for them; i.e., visual, audio or kinisthetic. I ask them what they think their strengths & weaknesses are and how they would want to go about the sessions. It is critical to plan sessions according to the needs of the student.
I have worked with students with no disability as well as those who have learning disabilities, behavioral problems, etc.
I would say to make sure that you interview the tutor and ask them what their teaching style is, and how they plan to help you. I have had students ask me about how I learn just to get some background information. Absolutely make sure that you are comfortable with the work as well as the teaching style of said tutor.

I typically charge anywhere between $45-$60 per session. This is dependent on the amount of material that needs to be covered in the specific amount of time. I would prefer students or parents contact me giving me prior information as to what will need to be covered.
