About Rachel
I have always wanted to be a teacher and I want to step out and reach students who need extra assistance in learning to better their education. Teaching is my passion and I love helping kids learn and watch them grow.
I have a Bachelor's degree in music education and a Master's degree in edicational technology and online instruction. I have also tutored many students in reading, writing, phonics, vocab, and content knowledge.

I work with elementary students who need some extra guidance with reading and writing. I start by learning what they know by reading several books with them and then review general vocabulary words to assess their writing and spelling. We work on penmenship and I meet students where they are.
K5-5th grade students are my specialty area.
You should look for someone who is willing to meet you where you currently are at in your learning process. Don't ever let someone tell you that you cannot do it or it is too hard.
I am really fond of getting to know students and learn what their interests are. I found out that one of my classes LOVES spicy Takis. As an incentive, I bought them all Takis if they met their readying goal for the week.
