About Kacy
Hi I'm Kacy! I am wanting to help children and/or students with their reading skills, or any basic math, science, writing, at the elementary level and preschool, preferably.
••••
Fun and engaging tutoring lessons to make learning enjoyable!
Masters Degree in Education and a range of experiences with children from birth to adolescence!
I've worked with children for 7 years now and that "ahh ha!" moment when something clicks is always exciting to witness.
It's an honor to be a part of someone's growth in development and learning.
It is important to me though that the student is in control of their learning and their learning styles are valued.
In high school my senior year! I thought I was going to play with babies and end up learning how to teach them instead!
I have a:
Bachelors in Early Childhood Education
Masters in Elementary Education- Curriculum and Instruction
I led many summer camps, children 5-13.
I studied and practiced in many preschool classrooms.
I was a student teacher.
Experience in formal learning environments (public schools) and child care centers.
I have an excessive amount of critical thinking and problem solving skills that can be applied to academic content.
Babysat a number of children and always did what was according to their needs and interests

Building relationships with a student is important! Depending on the student and the continuity if needed, the choice of playing an icebreaker game or going straight into the lesson! Their choice :)
getting to know their style of learning and their students prior/current knowledge is a priority of mine to help them succeed.
