About Kathleen
I am a certified teacher in Elementary Education (Pre-K-4), Special Education (K-8), and Reading Specialist (K-8). I have experience teaching 2nd grade, middle school, special education, and reading specialist. I look forward to getting to know my students and their families and designing lessons that best fit their needs.
I enjoy forming positive relationships with students and families. I am dedicated to providing quality instruction and helping each and every child make growth in their skills. It is so rewarding to help a student make progress!
I went to St. Joseph's University to study Elementary and Special Education. I worked at a center for Autism called the Kinney Center, which was on our campus. I worked with a wide age range from children as young as 4 years old all the way up to high school students. I previously taught 2nd grade in Southwest Philadelphia and currently teach as a reading specialist for middle school.

I also want to know from parents how to best help their child make more growth. I am dedicated to helping the child feel more confident and to help them gain a love for learning.
