About Marissa
I have been worked with elementary and seconday age students for several years, and am prepared to handle varying skill levels. As a college graduate with a degree in English: reading, writing, literary analysis, and grammar are my enjoyments and strong suits. I am here to aid students in an ambiguous time during their academic careers. While I focus on English topics, I am able to tutor any subject up to the middle school level.
I am currently a student in a Single Subject Teaching Credential Program, and have worked in a few classrooms with students of different ages and skill sets. I am familar with 3rd grade, middle school, and high school students. As a younger teacher, I find it easy to relate to my students. This allows for trust between one another, and ultimately, productivity.

I like to begin tutoring sessions by understanding their basic holes within skills sets, and strengths. It is important to combine their difficulties with their talents; this encourages productivity and effectiveness academically.
