About Dana
I have been a high school ELA teacher and tutor for the last 15 years and have helped countless students succeed in the SATs, reading comprehension, essay writing, ELA projects, and summer reading tasks.
I am patient and engaging. I love seeing students learn and thrive.
Qualifications:
BA in English Literature from the University of Pittsburgh
MAT in Secondary English Education from the University of Pittsburgh
18 years (and counting) as an ELA teacher at Union High School (grades 9-12, all levels)
I enjoy working with students and seeing them grow and learn. There is nothing better than watching a student have that "light bulb" moment while working on a concept with which he/she struggled.
I have a BA in English Literature and MAT in Secondary English Education. I have been a teacher for 18 years and have worked with all academic levels: remedial to Advanced Placement.

Depending on the student's needs, I begin by talking to the student to get a sense of what he/she thinks that they need. From there, I would administer a diagnostic assessment and develop a tutoring curriculum from there.
