About Jordan

I offer English tutoring that caters to each student's individual academic needs. Areas of specialty include: reading comprehension, literary analysis, grammar, writing, and phonics.

I have 6 years of experience tutoring K-12, as well as college level students.

I have a personal passion for literature, history, and music.

I enjoy learning and helping other learn, as well as sharing my interest in literature and using it help others succeed academically.

I was recommended as a tutor by a friend who saw the potential for me to share my passion for English Language Arts and Literature with others.

I have a Bachelor's degree in English and Sociology and have worked as a tutor for 6.5 years.

About the lesson

The first tutoring sessions is usually used to assess the student's needs and academic progress. From there, I create a learning plan based on my assessment and will adjust as needed with each tutoring session.

I have tutoring students in ELA subjects for grades K-12, as well as some college level students who needed assistance with writing. I have tutoring students in math for grades K-6. I have also helped students with Social Studies work and some basic science.

I recently helped students who were struggling in school due to the pandemic and saw them improve greatly, filling in the gaps in their education and ending the year at grade-level.
