I typically reach out to the student and verify the kind of review they would like to have with the material in the prescribed course. If I believe that I may assist them I will go ahead and let them know that I may offer help after they reply to my initial engagement post. If the student agrees to work with me I arrange a lesson for us to review and cover the essential material for the assignment; as well as allow the student to fully complete the assignment. I never engage with students who do not offer permission to work with them; nor do I work with students who request that they have found another tutor.
Engineering; Software Engineering (MATLAB, LTspice, Auto-Cad, Arduino); Electrical Engineering (Circuits I, Circuits II, Circuits III, Electro-Chemistry, Physics, PsychoPhysics, Solid State Electronic Devices, Electronics I, Statics) ; English, Writing, Proofreading and Pronunciation.
Make sure to get to know the tutor and ask for a complimentary free call to see if the tutor is indeed qualified to tutor in the subject. It is important to ask questions and always verify everything the tutor is saying and doing is within the guidelines and follow the policies set forth by this website.
Completing a 2 hour lesson with an Electro-Chemistry student who received an A on her midterm.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
They should have preliminary questions about what kind of review session the tutor would suggest for the kind of assistance being asked for. As well as having questions ready for a discussion about rates and possibly what the tutor can help with the most. The more information discussed the better for the student, the tutor, and the support team of this website who will be able to determine in cases of holds on payments if the lessons conducted meet policy of the company website and affiliated students or tutors who possibly break these rules.

I typically assess how long a lesson may take and depending on the material and level of expertise that is required by the student I charge based on this. If I do not feel that the help necessary is of much expense I will still try and keep the same price but at the students request will always work with what is in their budget and what they can afford.
