About Grace
I have 24 successful years of teaching experience in the state of Texas (kindergarten through 8th grade) with a Master's degree in Reading Education (composite minor) and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (English minor) both from Texas State University. I am certified in Texas to teach any subject kindergarten through 6th grade, language arts/ English kindergarten through 8th grade, and reading all levels. In the past I have been nominated and awarded "Teacher of the Year" more than once. I also have been a speaker at inservice training for other teachers because every single student of mine passed the state mandated test one year. Therefore, I am more than capable of tutoring a wide range of ages, subjects, and abilities and would love to help your child.
I keenly recognize the utmost importance of early intervention when a child is struggling at learning. My own son faced many challenges in school and he was diagnosed as ADHD and dyslexic in 2nd grade. I aggressively worked with his teachers and diligently brought him up to grade level by the beginning of 3rd grade. That early intervention made the greatest difference in his life because he graduated on time and went on to work in the lucritive where he is happy to be a leader. He adamantly gives me credit today for not giving up back then. I would love to do the same thing for your child.
