About Nikki
I am currently working toward obtaining my teaching credential in English. I have a Bachelors Degree in Theatre Arts from Texas Wesleyan University and I have several years of experience teaching youth drama classes and working as a substitute teacher. I understand that everyone learns differently and what may work for one student may not work for the next. It is important for me to be a good listener as well as a patient facilitator so that my students can feel confident in their own abilities to synthesize the lesson.

First I identify the needs of the student by listening and accessing what approach might work for the individual. Everyone learns differently so it is important to be able to address that right away. Then I begin to break down the lesson piece by piece ensuring that the student is synthesizing and comprehending the lesson.
Most of my experience is working with age groups from 9 to 13.
