About Yamila
I have been tutoring in subjects such as English, Creative Writing, Art History, and Graphic Design for 5 years. I have am a certified English and ESL teacher for young learners, and have taught in South Korea for 2 years. My students range from elemetary to high school age. This has granted me such a wide range of teaching methods and skills to help my students appreciate learning and retain the information they've received in their future classes. My goal is to continue helping my students to become comfortable speaking, writing, and reading in the English language. So they may apply their skills into real life scenarios to fully immerse themselves into the world!
I wished more Young Learner teachers would speak about how absolutely wonderful it is to see the smile of a student who at first, didn't understand the material that was taught in class. Yet come barging into your classroom one day shouting how much they understand, shows you their grade, and talk about how happy they are that you helped them do better. I think that is the best possible way I can describe how much I enjoy teaching and seeing my students grow.
