About Chloe

It is my goal to help students achieve their literary potential. I understand and acknowledge the challenges of reading and writing in today's academic world, it is an important aspect of becoming a functioning and collaborative person in society. I believe I can help make an impact on how students approach and appreciate literature, how to use it, as well as how to become a competent reader and writer.

I have been teaching for 6 years. I have a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and my teaching certifications for the state of Arizona, which means that I have a lot of experience with the basics and foundations to reading and writing. This knowledge can be applied in many different ways as a tutor. I can quickly analyze reading and writing techniques and identify areas of struggle. Using this information, I can then advise and consult on how to strengthen these areas. As an educator, I do a lot of critical thinking, and assessment of my own reading and writing to ensure the best delivery to my students and peers.

I love working with kids. It is my lifes goal to give back to the system that helped me so much as a kid. I always had wonderful teachers and positive influences from the entire education system. Its always been my dream to be that person for children now.

I have been teaching various ages for close to 7 years in multiple different fields.

I have a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education.

I have trained extensively at the University of Arizona in analyzing and improving reading and writing processes for a wide variety of age groups, including children who are pre-literate, through high school level English.

About the lesson

When I begin working with a new student, I like to spend the first session building rapport. I believe that a working relationship between a teacher and student relies heavily on trust and mutual understanding. I like to know my students and get a good feel for what their goals look like, and to feel comfortable with me.

Look for someone who you feel is going to help you. The education and the experience of your teacher is all important, and necessary, but will not mean anything if that person is unwilling to help or use their qualifications.
