About Hannah

I offer support in a wide variety of areas. I have collected years of experience with various students of various backgrounds and abilities. I help guide students to independent success in their studies. It is my belief that while tutoring is important, so is being a mentor. I hope to provide both to assist in you or your child's academic journey!

I officially started tutoring in high school through my National Beta Club to earn service hours. Prior to this, I volunteered to help friends and family understand their academics.

I have years of experience tutoring elementary, middle, and high school students. I also have an Associate's Degree in General Studies that I earned at the age of 17 and am currently working towards my bachelor's.

About the lesson

When I first begin to work with a student, I like to get to know their personality, learning style, and any strengths and weaknesses. This allows me to formulate the correct strategies that work for them to ensure success.

I have experience will a large age range of students; 8-16 years old. I also have experience with special need students.

My advice to give students looking to hire a teacher in my area of expertise is to ensure that they will be catered to as an individual. I believe that learning has to be understood to be enjoyed. For example, I struggled with math until I found a teacher who was my right match. They took the time to help me understand and encourage me to enjoy mathematics.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students need to consider the type of learner they are; visual, kinesthetic, auditory, or reading and writing. They also need to voice how comfortable they are speaking up and raising concerns and asking questions. Students also need to consider their individual interests and social behavior.

The price depends on the age and subject. For an elementary student who may need assistance in an area such as math, I am willing to earn as low as $12. For a high school student who needs assistance in writing a paper, I am willing to earn as low as $15.
