About Megan
In my 9 years as an educator, I have taught several different English courses including English 9-12 and SAT Prep. Most recently, I have been involved in developing and piloting a curriculum for a brand-new elective course for one of the largest districts in the country and was a collaborator on the course design with the Office of Equity and Cultural Proficiency.
In addition to my new roles and being an English teacher, I have maintained the significant role of AVID Coordinator for the last 5 years. In this position, I manage three other teachers and close to a hundred students each year. As the AVID coordinator, I infuse strategies to strengthen student skills related to writing, inquiry, collaboration, organization, reading and College and Career Readiness. My recent roles and accomplishments include:
