About Tiffany
So I'm currently a senior graduating this year of 2020.I am currently stuck at home like everyone else with not much to do.I have a love for english and literature and would love to help students that may need some additional help on it.My sophomore year of highschool i took English honors 2,junior year i took AP language arts and my senior year im currently in AP literature.I have never had lower than an A in the class.Last year i passed my AP language arts exam and earned a college credit for it.This year im preparing to take it next month from home due to covid-19.I'd be more than happy to help with anything related to english ranging from grammer to analying passages and offering tips on how to take tests easier when you have multiple passages.
During high school,my teachers opened up a tutoring portal where seniors could volunteer to teach other students in whatever subject they felt they excelled in.I volunteered for it and got to work with some students and i really enjoyed it more than i thought.Being able to help out atleast a little made me feel like i was helping out which is some thing i always strive to do :)
So all through out high school i've taken honors and AP english classes.English honors,English honors 2,AP Language Arts and AP Literature.I had amazing teachers for all four years that have offered me different tips and ticks to conquer essays and answer long passages questions.I have been able to carry what they've taught me along to excel in other subjects like ap geography and psychology.

So working with a new student would involve me asking them what their main struggles are with the class.What's one thing they absolutely hate doing.My goal is to make that area easer for them and hopefully give them tips and take away their dislike from the subject.I have so many old resources from amazing past english teachers i've had that i have saved through out the years that have honestly helped me so much.I'd more than happy to provide stusdents with any resources i have to offer.
I've worked with freshmen and some sophomores.Also my brother who is in seventh grade.He's super strong in math and science however struggles in english which is perfect because i can guide him in the write direction when he's struggling!
Some advice i would give to a student who is looking to hire a teacher would be to defintely look at a teacher who seems passionate about their job.It's super important because enthusiasm is very much needed to get ingagement towards a subject that may not necessarily be your favorite.I think looking at a teachers background experience is super important to see what they truly know about what they are teaching and lastly if they feel like a good fit i'd definitely give it a shot and see how you like it!
