About Vanity
Vanity (He/They) is an upcoming senior in highschool and tutors for several non-profits including Best Step Tutoring. They have been promoted to Senior English Tutor and has been frequently been applauded and rewarded (such as Student of the Month) for their ability to get work done. His goal is to help Middle-High schoolers to understand and fall in love with the complexity that comes with English. They plan on attending college after highschool to officially become an English teacher for secondary schools in Oklahoma.
I absolutely love the experience of a student understanding something about the subject that I've helped teach them. It's a euphoric feeling, that I experienced for the first time two years ago when casually tutoring my peers in Debate. What continues to motivate me is the ability I have to change a student's mindset on something they may be struggling with.
I have worked extensively for free with several non-profits including Best Step Tutoring and Tutor-Together! I've been promoted to higher positions as a tutor within these non-profits.

I get to know them! I love working with students as individuals, and getting to know them both personally and academically. This is getting to know their personality, strengths and weaknesses. For me, this is a vital step in helping the student in accomplishing their understanding of the material, and being able to connect with the tutor to learn.
