About Charlotte

Hello! While English is my favorite subject and I love all things reading and writing, I am, overall, big big nerd and love most subjects. I am able to help with Spanish, math, science, civics/history/social studies, and more.

I currently work as a middle school (8th grade) teaching assistant so I am up to date with what students are currently learning. I have also tutored privately with students one on one. I have recently received my bachelors degree, and I am working on applying to different master's degree programs for teaching.

I love helping a student make sense of something that once frustrated them. Seeing a light go off in a student's eyes as an idea clicks is extremely rewarding.

If a student simply hates a subject, I am happy to help explain in the easiest way possible to complete their work, and to show the student that whatever they may hate is actually easier and more managable than he/she may think it is.

I work as a middle school teaching assistant, and I help kids after school with homework in all subjects. I have also tutored students one-on-one prior to becoming a teaching assistant.

About the lesson

I like to begin tutoring a new student by having a conversation and getting to know the student a little bit. Figuring out what a student is passionate about can help encourage the student to grow his/her passions into other things, specifically ones relating to their education.
