About Tiffany

I love working with students of all ages to help grow their skills as writers, readers, and learners. As a tutor, my first priority is to make sure your child's needs are heard and met, so each session is tailored to fit each student.

I've had the privilege of working with over hundreds of students on a variety of topics over the past half decade and always strive to take their learning skills above and beyond what they might think is possible. As a tutor, I believe my job is to equip your students with the skills they need to succeed in the classroom and beyond.

I love getting to hold space and work one-on-one with my students because then we get to curate lessons and pacing to exactly what they need. I enjoy getting to learn about my students just as much as they get to learn about English, writing, or music from me, and it's always rewarding to see them succeed in school, competitions, and beyond.

I received writing and tutoring training from Northwestern University, and received my Honors English Literature Degree from the University as well.

About the lesson

I enjoy setting up complimentary 30 min trials prior to starting regular lessons with new students, so that they can see if we're a good fit together!

I've worked with myriad students on a variety of projects. My youngest students have been in kindergarten and my oldest have been doctorate students. I've worked with ESL students, native speakers, etc.

Find someone who is able to break down concepts of writing for you easily, so that the structure and framing of it all makes sense. Finding your footing in writing is a little bit like finding your own fashion sense; have someone there to teach you the rules, and then how to use those rules to create your own style and voicing.
