About Elinor
I have one year of experience working as a student writing coach at my college, Bennington. As a literature student, I am very passionate about English and have had more than enough experience writing emplary essays on a college level. I know exactly what it's like to stress over highschool exams and classes while trying to get into a good college. I very much enjoy working one on one with students and will be patient, relaxed, and above all, clear and direct. From literary analysis, to essays, to just talking about books, I'm happy!
Instructing students has been very rewarding for me as I am engaged with a subject that I love while working in a context that requires one-on-one relationships. I like getting to know my students and love that look of relief they get when they have that breakthrough, and everything seems just a little simpler.
I am a student at Bennington College where I was a writing coach for a year. I not only helped students improve their language and clarify their theses, but worked with them to improve the overall structure and analysis of their papers.

When I first meet a student, I like to find out exactly where they feel they are struggling with the material and from there work on specific methods form improvement. I will not only address specific concerns a student might have but I will walk them through the broader context of how they might bring their work to the next level.
