About Alix
I grew up with a newspaper editor for a father and a librarian for a mother, so I am extremely passionate about grammar and writing. A fiction writer myself, I also love to educate others and help them improve their skills.
I care very much about helping youth be as passionate about writing as I am, and teaching them the skills they need and rules to follow in order to utilize the medium of writing to the fullest.
Previously, I have worked at Writopia Lab with children ages 7 to 12, on improving their creative writing, grammar, and storytelling. I also worked for Let's Get Ready NYC, tutoring high schoolers for the critical reading and writing sections of the SAT, as well as helping them craft their college essays.
I have a Bachelor's degree in communications from Goucher College as well.
