About Nathan

Over the past year, when teaching has been moved onto zoom and other remote services, I have stood out as already being comfortable on those platforms. More than anything, I have found that my students respond to the one-on-one attention I give them - it makes no difference that I work online, I sit with them, listen to them, and respond to their academic needs.

I have been a university professor in colleges including NYU, Northwestern, Point Park, the University of Pittsburgh, Syracuse University, and more, and have worked with all of their admissions departments. Not only am I adept at adapting to my students' individual learning styles, but I understand the ins and outs of the college application process from a unique perspective.

The greatest feeling in the world is putting a student in touch with their "inner learner." Taking a strong student and giving them the support to take it up to the next level, or a student who has never been a strong academic performer and giving them the necessary skills to succeed in their exams - this is the best part of what I do.

I have been a professional educator all of my life, in the university environment for the last 20 years. I love helping students find success in their studies.

I have my BFA from NYU, my Masters from Northwestern University,and my doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh.

About the lesson

We start with a discussion about the student's goals, a self-assessment, and a written assessment. Immediately, we break it down into small, doable tasks that we can accomplish at each meeting.

Details

I offer a comprehensive 12-session package at $950/student which is limited to 10 students per section.  These classes meet twice weekly for 1 ½-hour sessions, beginning on:

-       7/16 (Tuesdays and Thursdays) FOR THE 8/29 EXAM – LIMITED SEATING,

-       8/17(Monday and Wednesday) FOR THE 9/26 OR 10/3 EXAM – LIMITED SEATING),

-       9/29 (Tuesdays and Thursdays) FOR THE 11/7 EXAM,

-       10/26 (Mondays and Wednesdays) FOR THE 12/5 EXAM

Private one-on-one zoom sessions scheduled at your convenience, at $125/session.

Special subject test prep is available in one-on-one sessions only.
