About Regenia
Chokhmah Tutoring is provided by a multi-State Certified veteran educator and twice published author. Chokhmah offers "General Sessions" that focus specifically on Reading. "Specialty Sessions" are also offered that focus on SAT-Prep and (SLD) Reading. Chokhmah Tutoring began with the ultimate goal of improving reading skills. Personally, I read books of every genre. Charting the progress of a client and seeing them grow gives me personal satisfaction. Hearing them relive an experience where they used a vocabulary word that amazed an adult is inspiring and motivating. It encourages me to continue to strengthen my skills as an educator.
I was an SAT prep instructor in high school to both general and exceptional students. I am a certified Reading Specialist with multi-state certification. I have over ten years of experience as a reading teacher. I have experience with READ Theory, iReady, Scholastic, Heinemann's Units of Study to name a few. I have over 19 years of experience working with Exceptional students of all exceptionalities. Finally, I've taught at all three levels of education: elementary, middle and high school.

An initial conference begins the process. It is during this time that the client states what they view as the specific need of the student that Chokhmah service should address. The second step is the free Pre-assessment. This begins the process of accurately identifying specific strengths and weaknesses. The results of the assessment are reviewed with recommendations. Tutorial sessions are individualized based on the results of the pre-assessment and the desires of the client. General Sessions are for an hour. Specialized sessions are for a minimum of 30 minutes based on the student's stamina level. As stamina increases, the session time increases as well with the approval of the client.
