About Camila

I have extensive tutoring experience in a variety of fields. I have tutored in English as well as Math and Test Prep and NCLEX tutoring. I have helped students learn to analyze literature, write essays, proof read and provide suggestions. This program requires that tutors be able to assist students in multiple subjects, and my experience would allow me to do just that.

I have experience working with preschool and kindergarten-age students. I have also tutored middle school students in reading, as well as college and high school students. Through these tutoring and counseling positions, I have learned how to best teach each age group. For example, I created songs to teach my three-year-old students the material, but I gave my college students daily quizzes to help them prepare for exams.

I am passionate about helping students improve in all academic subjects.

I am a participant of the FIU Teach program in which I gain field experience in teaching as well as new methods of teaching. I have also worked at several tutoring agencies for the past 2 years as well as recently establish my own.

About the lesson

First I like to get an understanding of what level the student is at and how they learn best by implementing different teaching tools. I then gear the next sessions towards acheiving the student's goals while using the methods that prove most effective.

I have worked with students of all types from only spanish speakers to pre-schoolers to highschool and college students. Each student learns in a unique way and it is my job to figure out what that method is.
