About Grace
As a student myself, I understand how challenging school can be, especially when it doesn't cater to an individual's preferences or needs. I'm currently attending Oxford University, and I feel very lucky to be learning from some of the best professors in the world. I'd love to pass on some of that teaching to my own tutees.
As mentioned in my profile, I am currently a student at Oxford University, and prior to that, I attended a competitive New England prepatory school. If I learned one thing throughout the application process for Oxford, it was how to think independently and with vigor. Learning is not just about memorizing formulas or answering questions (though that is an important baseline), it's a way to get a student thinking in ways they are not used to. I hope to apply this experience to my tutoring work

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Though I think this answer may be more applicable to older children, I find it can be effective for all ages. The biggest question any student should understand about themself is how they like to learn best! Every student is different, and it may take different strategies and motivations to encourage a student to reach their full potential. I find it's helpful for a student to be at least semi-aware of their personal preferences, so they can enter a lesson with confidence on what will work, and what won't!
