About Samantha
I am a college professor and a CRLA certified tutor. I have a B.A. and an M.A. in English Literature. I've taught developmental and college-level composition, Intro to Literature, American Literature, World Literature, and Short Novel courses.

I've always loved writing and reading, but teaching is where I am truly in my element. I love interacting with students in discussions! My favorite thing in the world, though, is watching students exceed their own expectations when they are taught how to write in my classes. I teach writing in a way that "hacks" the writing process and breaks it down into digestible phases with templates and tricks.
I began tutoring in a university writing center, which opened opportunities at local community colleges for teaching.
I have a Master's degree in English. I've tutored in a professional capacity for nearly a decade and I've taught composition at the college level for six years.

When working on writing, I typically request a writing sample so I can do a diagnostic and see where the issues are. Then I design a custom program for each student to work on the skills they need most.
Mostly college students, but I've also tutored for SAT and GRE writing.
