About Hiyaguha
I'm passionate about helping people express themselves well through writing, and I believe that good writing skills open doors academically, professionally, and socially. I'm a writer, teacher, and coach with 18 years of experience in all those fields. I've taught writing and English to adults and children, and have many years experience teaching college-level English. My style is informal, approachable, and encouraging, although I can be tough if needed.
My credentials include a Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Southampton College, where I won the school's highest award for fiction. I've authored hundreds of publications, including books by major publishers, articles, and blogs. I also have a Ph.D. in Coaching. Plus, I co-founded the Kauai Writers Conference, which had a special youth program, and have run countless writing groups.
