About Kristen Joy
I have a B.A. in English with a focus in Creative Writing.
I took an English Tutoring course, which was required for working as a Writing Coach/Tutor in the Bryan College Writing Center. I proceeded to work in the Writing Center for the next two and a half years.
I have also been unofficially tutoring my friends and classmates in English, Writing, and Literature courses since my sophomore year of high school.

I will typically start with asking the student what area(s) they feel they need the most help with, what area(s) are they most confident in, what they would like to work on first, and how would they like me to help.
I have worked mostly with high-school students, dual-enrollment students, and undergraduates. But I also have some experience working with middle-schoolers and elementary students as well.
