About Diane

I have worked in education for 18 years. I currently work in Nassau County School District in Florida. But live in Camden County, Georgia. I have a CDA certification in elementary education. I would like the students I work Tobe successful not only in education, but in all they do.

I believe in educating children and adults from all different walks of life. I enjoy watching a child's face light up when they exclaim, "I GOT IT!' After all knowledge is power!

I started working in a small private preschool. Many students I worked with were ages 3-5 years of age. Then I started working in public school in the elementary age groups, from preschool to 5 the grade.

I have been working in education for the past 18 years. I have attended many workshops and trainings during my career.

About the lesson

Introduce myself to the student and the parent when applicable. Let the student and the parent see that working environment is clean, safe, and conducive to learning. As a tutor, I would like to familiarize myself with the content of which I will be working.

I have worked with various students and each student is talented in their own way. Many students I have taught are from 4-10 years of age.

I would show the student that I am the right fit to help them. In order to do this, i need to explain and show the student what I know in their particular subject. In doing this, I would hope they would feel comfortable to work with me.

I have fond memories of a child struggling with learning to read. Every moment of free time during school, we worked on many reading skills. Within a few weeks, this child began to read. Just the look on this child's face when they picked up a book to read. This filled me with joy for a lifetime.

I think by feeling comfortable with a teacher, would help a student to explain to them what their needs are.
