About Ellen
I firmly believe that academic success is reliant on a student's approach to tackling problems, and their attitude toward learning in general. First comes curiosity and the desire to work for understanding, good grades will follow.
What makes me most happy about tutoring is not necessisarily seeing a student get 100%, but seeing a growth in their academic and learning confidence (though these generally go hand in hand).
Qualificaitons:
Education: past high school AP student, current biology undergrad at an acreditted honors college
Teaching: Past math tutoring/peer tutoring expirience. A go to essay editor for peers.
(Note: I only offer online services)
I am patient, supportive, easy going, and ready to work at whatever pace the student needs.
I have plenty of past expirience in community service, club leadership, and teamwork which has taught me so much about working with all kinds of learners.
