About Caitlin
I am a certified Elementary Education teacher (grades 1-6). I have experience in working with all grades, and have worked with students in various small groups and one-on-one. For the past two years, I have worked as a permanent substitute teacher in which I substitute for not only classroom teachers, but also specials teachers, Special Education teachers, teachers assistants, and aides.
I love to learn, and enjoy how as an educator, I am always learning and improving. I love working with kids and helping them grow! I love the feeling of truly making a difference in children's lives. I want children to believe in themselves and their potential to achieve great things. Every child is able to learn; they just need the proper support. I believe the following quote sums this up well: "Every child has a gift, they just open them at different times".
I attended the College of New Jersey for my undergraduate degree, and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education and Developmental Psychology.
I am currently attending Graduate School for Special Education.
My current position as a Permanent Substitute teacher allows me to gain experience teaching and helping students learn.
I also have much experience working with students with learning and neurological disabilities.
