About Karen
I verbally began to teach my grandmother english and slowly it became formal english lessons, where reading and writing (homework) grew into a necessity. I developed educational skills through volunteering and participating in my church's summer camp. I was a teacher assistant, tasked with the challenge of supervising the children, however, that challenge quickly turned into a push of genuine understanding. I learned to distinguish and grow the differences and uniqueness of every child for their better.
I am a sophmore at George Mason University, majoring in International Relations. I was given the opportunity to be apart of the International Baccalaureate Program, where I was drawn to English, History, and Theory of Knowledge. These studies instilled discipline which later turned into a passion for presenting thoughts into refined words on paper.
