About William
I have tutored high school level students in the past in the areas of Basic Math, Algebra and Trigonometry. I have also taught at the Junior College level in the area of Criminal Procedure for Criminal Justice majors. I am a licensed attorney in the State of New Mexico and have practiced over ten years there, in the areas of Criminal Defense and Personal Injury Law. I am "inactive" at this time and am in the process of writing my second Historical Fiction Novel. I seek a part time tutoring position while I write and publish my second novel.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point where I "majored" in Economics, however the degree's emphasis was on high level math as well. I have successfully taken math courses in Calculus, Differential Equations, Problems and Statistics, Micro and Macro Economics, and Econometrics, Mechanical and Civil Engineering. Also, I am a licensed attorney in the State of New Mexico where I practiced successfully for over ten years. I have written one Historical Fiction Novel and am currently working on my second novel.

All of us are unique with certain academic strengths and weaknesses. Yet we must take classes and tests at times in areas that we are not comfortable with and subjects we may need assistance in grasping and understanding. To assist any student my first responsibility is to communicate and understand the students needs in a certain subject area. Only then can any effective tutoring and learning take place. I understand that learning is a process that takes place over time. I attempt to tailor a tutoring program to each student individually while providing the student with a good understanding of a subject area, not just mechanical techniques for solving equations, word problems, or techniques for passing a test. If proper learning takes place, the student will have a good understanding of a subject area that will remain with them for the rest of their lives - far beyond an entrance exam or specific test.
