About Serena
Though I don't have a degree, English has always been a strong subjuecr for me, namely, grammar, writing, and reading. I've always been way above my grade level in all these aspects. I'm very excited to help students learn to read more fluently and write with dexterity.
Though I don't teach professionally, I worked as a peer tutor after school, working with groups of kids in grades K through 8th grade, assisting with homework and other educational projects.
I'm a high school graduate and my best subject was always English. It came very naturally to me.

I've worked with kids from Kindergarden through 8th grade
Meet with your teacher/tutor and get to know them. Don't be afraid to open up about what you need and how you learn best. And never be embarrassed about needing or asking for help!
