About Cheryl

We provide tutoring services to students; offer self-empowerment workshops for women; and offer educational workshops for adults and teens. This learning studio is a vision realized. It started out in the mind of Cheryl, the owner and founder, in 2016, as mere markings on a piece of paper. Three years later along with two degrees later, it is a dream come true. As an Educator, "Cheryl is an amazing example of what one can achieve, breaking down barriers, while sustaining the Joy of Learning. Energetic and Effective," says Judith.

Streamline Learning Studio enjoys adding a personal touch to help the student perform their work well. We offer innovative and proven techniques to help the student gain ownership and confidence in their abilities to do a good job. We offer a commitment of excellence to each of our clients. As a mom of two young men, who was once boys in CMS schools, I understand the challenges of parents and the challenges children face in the classroom. Therefore, I provide the bridge that can help them cross over to being better individuals, better students, and better citizens.

I am a Duke University master's graduate possessing a degree in Philosophy and Liberal Studies. I also possess a Bachelor's degree from Queen's University of Charlotte in Philosophy. Additionally, I am a certified tutor by the College Reading and Learning Association. I am a parent of three grown children; one daugher and two boys.

About the lesson

My typical process is as follows:

1. Initial Assessment;

2. Organization;

3. Assessing learning style;

4. Agreeing upon a tutor/tutee commitment;

5. Relaying expectations;

6. Provide any tools (binder, pens, pencils, etc.) that can assist in learning process;

7. Conversation with parent/guardian.

Yes, Streamline Learning Studio have a standard pricing system for our lessons. We give the client more for their money by offering 90 minute lessons instead of 60 minute lessons for $35.
