About Matthew
Wild Ginger Tutoring provides excellent, flexible and reliable tuoring options for all levels of education (K-College) at an affordable, negotiable rate.
Founder and tutor Matthew Ferrell holds a Master's of Education from Western Washington University and has several years of classroom and non-conventional education experience. He believes in education as a pathway to achieve success professionally and personally, and combines his passion and professional skills with a relaxed approach that allows students to feel comfortable and believe in their abilies to learn and grow. Matthew is not an expert in all fields, but believes in working and learning alongside students to help them accomplish their goals and become a better educator through helping students.

I believe strongly in getting to know my students as people, developing rapore and making them feel comfortable with me as an instructor and leader.
Next, I attempt to gain a sense of past knowlege and experiences of my students with the topic so I know where they're compencies lie and what weaknesses or barriers might exist for them.
It is also helpful for me to get a sense of what my student's goals are. What does success look like for them? Is this about getting a good grade? Getting into a good school? Developing a new skill? Self-esteem? What motivates my students to seek me for assistance.
Then, we can get to work.
