About Alyssa
Hi! My name is Alyssa and my passion is helping children to feel empowered and reach their goals. I do this by day as Youth Mentoring Coordinator where I match kids with a responsible and caring role model in the community. I bring this same enthusiam to my work as a tutor for children. My specialities are reading, writing, English language, and homework help for elementary schoolers. As a former camp counselor and nanny, I have vast experience in keeping kids engaged-even during "boring reading"! As your child's tutor, I will cater my services to their specific needs and give them the tools they need to meet their academic goals.

When I work with a student, I first have an informational phone call with them to understand their needs and goals for our sessions. If they would like to forward after our discussion, I send my client the Zoom link and details. Each week, I will prepare before the session to ensure that I am catering the lesson plan and activities to the needs of the individual student.
