About Ashley
Hello, My name is Ashley and I'm a recent college graduate of biochemistry. Though I am not a professional tutor, I have worked a summer at Kumon Math and Reading Center to help children further develop their math and reading skills. Throughout college, I have also helped tutor my fellow classmates and those in years below me. Science and writing are my strong suits, but I am also able to tutor subjects including math, history, english, and even music! I am patient and will work hard to help you or your child through their studies. With that in mind, I hope you consider me as your next tutor!
I have previously worked at Kumon Math and Reading Center where I guided children through math and reading assignments to further develop their skills in these areas.

When working with a new student, I like to get to know them first so that they can feel a little bit more comfortable with me, especially if I'm working with a child. I then try to gauge what parts of the work they are struggling with and brainstorm ways to help the ideas and concepts stick clearer. Everybody learns differently and I try to individualize my tutoring for the learning style of my tutee. If one way doesn't work, I'll move onto a different way or break down the concept even further, if necessary.
