About Ari
I have been writing and editing professionally for over ten years, and teaching high school English for four of these years.
A lesson that I've learned in all this experience is that many students (and adult writers as well, for that matter) tend to pigeonhole themselves early on as "good at English" or "bad at English." Both mentalities are equally counterproductive, as they cause a person to stop striving to make the subject *enjoyable.*
And make no mistake: it can, indeed, be enjoyable with the right tools. The written word is a powerful force, and there is no vocation in the world in which it is not useful. If one doesn't want to be a skillful writer, one may still want to be a skillful communicator.
Enjoyable English will impart these tools to you. If you are seeking the ability to make your writing flow and breathe, this is your stop. If you simply want to study the building blocks of the language itself and take it from there, Enjoyable English will provide all the technical, grammatical, structure information you need.

I very much enjoy that moment when a student realizes exactly how a particular task is accomplished, whether it's that sudden "aha" moment of analyzing a good piece of literature, or even the sudden dawn of comprehension of a basic concept in grammar or structure.
