About Julia

I teach to to help people succeed rather than to make a living for my own.

I see the student's needs & focus on finding approaches and methodologies that will help them reach their goals in a timely manner.

I love to work with people & to help them reach their goals in learning a foreign language.

What started as a hobbie when I was a teenager, became my vocation in life, so I pursued the teaching career in my home country El Salvador and eventually got my BA in education and my MA in interpretation. Throughout the years I have attended many workshops & inservice training seminars as a foreign language teacher. I got my first job as a teacher when I was barely 18. At the age of 32 I became a teacher trainer & worked for OUP, PRENTICE HALL & PEARSON EDUCATION. At age 47 I migrated to USA and even though my source of income is as an interpreter, my heart is still in teaching and helping people learn a foreign or second language.

Teacher of English degree

BA in Education, minoring in English

MA in Interpretation

Several Courses and seminars in Second Language Acquisition

Perfect! Miss Julia is attentive, patient, and always prepare the lesson plans accordingly. Girls enjoy interacting with her via zoom and her teaching motivates kids to grow an interest in learning Spanish. We feel very fortunate to have found her.

My tutor is very helpful because she ensures that I understand the material I need help on and also takes time to prepare additional resources if I don't understand a concept!
